More About Adam

Strong Leadership

Great leaders must lead from the front and have an unwavering desire to accomplish feats no one believes possible and most importantly, put service above self. When he was young, Adam’s father told him, “Son, to be successful you must be involved in your community and involved in your industry.” It is upon this foundation that Adam has built his career and a passion for service—dedicating his time outside of his businesses and family to leadership roles within Bexar County and the State of Texas.

Adam is the President of the Rotary Club of San Antonio U40 Board of Directors and serves on the Board of Directors for the Rotary Club of San Antonio, San Antonio Mobility Coalition, and Smithson Valley Youth Football Association. In addition, Adam serves the Texas Trucking Association as the Chairman of the Emerging Leaders Council and holds a seat on the Board of Directors, and is the Chairman of the Truckload Carriers Association Highway Policy Committee.

Adam’s experience as an industry leader has shown him that job creators and business people need to take a leading role in public policy. For instance, those in the trucking industry know firsthand how devastating human trafficking is to individuals and families, and how open border policies only make the problems worse and enable human traffickers. That’s why, from his position as a leader in the trucking industry, Adam has made it a priority for his company to do its part to help in the fight against human trafficking. Every one of Adam’s drivers at Double Diamond Transport takes part in the Truckers Against Trafficking program. The program teaches drivers how to identify human trafficking and steps to take against it, making Double Diamond Transport an ally in the fight against human trafficking and Adam a passionate advocate for better public policy.

After seeing first-hand the impact of abusive lawsuits against small businesses with commercial vehicles, Adam helped organize a coalition to bring meaningful reforms. Together, they took their cause to the Texas Legislature where Adam led the fight to pass legislation to level the playing field for small businesses being targeted frivolously by personal injury trial lawyers looking for a big payday. The result, HB 19 which was signed into law by Governor Abbott, saved countless jobs and sent a message to the world that Texas remains committed to being the leading job growth state in America.

Adam always knew his life would include serving his community, but a run for public office was not on his horizon. However, after seeing small businesses like his struggle to survive due to overregulation, high taxes, and the constant threat of frivolous lawsuits, Adam felt it was time to step up to ensure everyone has a fair shot and the opportunity for a better life.

Public service means working to give everyone hope for a better future.  We must preserve our liberties and ensure the freedom and opportunity of America are protected for current and future generations. With honesty and hard work, we should all have a pathway to prosperity. To accomplish this, we must work together for policies that create an environment that encourages ingenuity, perseverance, and creativity.

Determination

A man committed to his faith, family, and community, Adam believes there is a better way than business as usual in Austin. Adam understands the challenges job creators face. In 2014, starting with one truck and a trailer, Adam set out on a new career path. Through Adam’s hard work and determination, he built three successful businesses—but not without overcoming many challenges job creators face from over-regulation and the threat of frivolous lawsuits.

Adam believes the role of government is to provide a safe place to live, work, and raise a family. He strongly supports the military, police, fire, and other first responders who protect us at home and abroad. He will not tolerate efforts to defund the police and will work to keep our community safe. He will fight radical open border policies and make border security a priority to stop the flow of illegal drugs and human traffickers into our state.

As a father, Adam knows all children deserve a strong educational foundation. He will work tirelessly to prepare our schools, teachers, and children for the demands of the 21st century and ensure they have the funding and educational tools they need to succeed.

Adam is a strong conservative who will stand up for the interests of all of us in District 122. He is the leader we need to diversify and expand the economy—so we have the dignity of work and can provide for our families. As our State Representative, Adam will represent us with honesty, strong values, and integrity.

Born and raised in Texas, Adam graduated magna cum laude from Oklahoma State University and earned a law degree from the Texas Tech University School of Law. He practiced law for five years before starting Double Diamond Transport, Tanager Logistics, and Llano Realty Partners. The combination of his legal background and business experience gives him the unique ability to represent and advocate for his friends and neighbors in District 122.

Adam and his wife, Arielle, have four children and are active in the CrossBridge Community Church.
